Purchased and returned several Amazon products that didn’t suit the needs of my project. The 24” Gooseneck arm is perfect. Already planning on grabbing a shorter one for another part of my project.

Its great. It actually has enough strength to hold position. I can put my soldering iron on it. I can hold my tig torch with it, the sky is the limit. Unfortunately it costs me as much to mail the item as it does to purchase it (Australia). The long snake has enough length to go up and then back down to the level where you mounted it, super necessary for my type of usage. Otherwise i would have to build a frame to hang one of the shorter snakes from and that will probably be my next purchase, a short snake.
