We’re always looking for ways to improve our product line and that includes the most important component of our SnakeClamp – the flexible gooseneck hose arm snake. Every now and then customers contact us looking for a 3′ or longer flexible gooseneck that can support 5-10 lbs. Well, sorry, but you won’t find one that can do that! However we are pleased to introduce our new 18″ Super-Duty flexible gooseneck hose arm – which can support 2-1/2 lbs. extended horizontally – a flexible gooseneck’s weakest orientation. This is our strongest gooseneck yet. SnakeClamp 18″ Super-Duty Flexible Gooseneck Tube Hose Arm This gooseneck was developed by shortening our popular 24″ long gooseneck. Both have an outside diameter of 18mm. Just for comparison, the outside diameter of our 18″ Heavy-Duty gooseneck is 15mm. So the new 18″ Super-Duty gooseneck has a 20% increase in outside diameter and an 25% increase in load-carrying capacity. In addition to a larger outside diameter it is also about 29% heavier at 18.6 ounces (1 lb. 2.6 oz.). Although our 18″ Heavy-Duty gooseneck is suitable for supporting most tablet PCs, there are now extra-large designs on the market such as the iPad Pro which weights in at 1.59 lbs. Add a case to that plus one of our cradles/mounts and you can see the need for our new 18″ Super-Duty design.
